Resources for WordPress Themes
One of the selling points for individual bloggers to go with WordPress over any other blog platform is WordPress’s community. The community that contributes to WordPress in many different ways: some help out in forums, others write plugins, and many design themes (also called blog designs). In this post I will talk about WordPress themes. The most obvious and popular place to go is WordPress site itself, where you can find a little over 1,100 themes. All of the themes listed on WordPress site are free, and come with a screen shot and a live preview.

Blogging with a cup of home made espresso
I love coffee! No, I’m not an addict :) I mostly drink for the experience. I’m writing this post sitting at a local Barnes and Noble, sipping Starbucks Cappuccino. If I didn’t have a cup of coffee I would feel like something is missing. When I wake up in the morning first thing I do is make myself a cup of coffee. I like to experiment. Let me explain. At first I would go to a local coffee shop to get a cup on my way to the office. I then realized how expensive it can get and decided to buy a nice espresso machine for my house. Half a year later I got tired of all the lattes and wanted something different again. Instant coffee. After a day or two I gave it to my mother as a present ;)

WordPress 2.9.2 update
Thomas Mackenzie alerted WordPress.org developers to a problem where logged in users can peek at trashed posts belonging to other authors. If you have untrusted users signed up on your blog and sensitive posts in the trash, you should upgrade to 2.9.2. As always, you can visit the Tools->Upgrade menu to upgrade or contact BlogConsulting.com for assistance where for a nominal fee we can take care of this for you.

Google Checkout is in!
Having choices in great! When there’s competition between companies, consumers will always benefit by getting better and cheaper products. Cell phone plans keep getting more affordable, number of minutes keep increasing. Take Sprint for example — they recently launched “Any Mobile, Anytime” plan where you can call any cell phone in U.S. and talk for as long as you want without using any of your plan minutes. A couple of years ago you would pay hundreds of dollars for a plan like that, and today it is available for, I believe, under $50/month.

And your favorite magazine is…?
I have only one. It’s called Entrepreneur. I had some frequent miles left that were not useful for anything other than signing up for some magazines, so I decided to go ahead and sign up for a bunch of them. Of that bunch there were Entrepreneur, Wired, Fast Company, Inc, and Forbes. To my surprise, or maybe confirmation, the only magazine that I could read from cover to cover was Entrepreneur. Not only that, but I couldn’t wait till next month to receive the next issue.
